About Us :

Colton, Downey & Associates (coltonins.net) launched this site on the web in June, 2001. As time goes on, we will continue to add additional features to assist you with your insurance needs on our site.

We still have a real live person who answers the phone and knows the Jacksonville area well. If it's after hours you can leave us a voice message on our message machine, or send us an e-mail and we will get back to you. We want to be available to assist you when needed.

As an independent agency, we represent a variety of companies rather just one. And if you have difficulty with an insurance company, we will stand up for your needs. Our customers are important to us.

Kathy Borman, Receptionist Kathy has been with Colton, Downey & Associates since 1988. Kathy is the first smile you see when you visit our office, and the voice on the other end of the phone when you call. Anytime you need assistance, Kathy will direct you or your call to the person who will resolve your problem.	Beverly Coats, CISR Personal Insurance Agent Bev has insurance experience since 1986 in the Personal Insurance Department. She will work to put together the best personal insurance coverage with competitive rates for your home, auto, watercraft, rental properties and recreational vehicles. You can call Bev with any questions on your personal insurance even if she is not your present agent.

Connie Braner, CISR Personal Insurance Agent Connie has been with Colton, Downey & Associates since 1982, and has lived in Jacksonville all her life. She is a licensed Property/Casualty Insurance Agent, and will be glad to assist you with any questions you may have in personal insurance and claims.	Becky Warner, CISR Personal Insurance Agent Becky has been with Colton, Downey & Associates since 1986. She is a licensed Property/ Casualty Insurance Agent, and has a BS Degree from Western Illinois University. You can contact Becky with any questions you may have on your home, auto, watercraft or any other type of personal insurance and claims.

Ernie Downey Business Insurance Expert Ernie has been in the insurance business for over 30 years. He was an underwriter for both Safeco Insurance Company and C N A Companies. Ernie graduated from University of Illinois/Champaign. He services larger business accounts and specializes in truckers, contractors and Not-For-Profit organizations. He has the experience and technical know-how to assist you with your business insurance decisions.	Don Sample Business Insurance Agent Don has been in the insurance business for over 40 years. He is an active member of the Pro Bowlers Association which is why he enjoys working with Bowling Center for their insurance needs. Lisa Middleton Business Insurance Agent Lisa joined Colton, Downey & Associates in 2006. She works as a Customer Service Agent in our Business Insurance Department. Kay Sexton Accountant Kay joined Colton, Downey & Associates in 1997 with 19 years of accounting experience. Kay helps in many areas within our office. She assists the receptionist and supports the Personal Insurance Department. When you visit or call our office, you will find Kay helpful.	Melissa Russell Business Insurance Agent Melissa works in the Business Insurance Department with her focus on new business. She joined Colton, Downey & Associates in 2005.
